About
Waltham Fields Community Farm (WFCF) is a non-profit organization growing delicious, high quality vegetables using environmentally sound organic growing methods. They aim to cultivate equitable and sustainable relationships between people, their food supply, and the land from which it grows through farming, land preservation, and educational programming for all ages.
WFCF believes in local food for everyone—donating over 20 tons of their produce to Greater Boston and Metro West food pantries, their own Outreach Market and reduced-fee CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm shares for low-income residents, and to local public schools. WFCF welcomes hundreds of volunteers annually through scheduled group work sessions, drop-in hours for individuals and families, and Crop Mobs—special Saturday weeding events.
Other volunteer opportunities support a splendid children's Learning Garden, perennial garden maintenance, and special events including a free, family-friendly Farm Day in autumn, e.g. helping kids pull carrots and pretend to drive the big tractor!
