About

Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House (MFNH) is a multi-service agency that continues its 100+ year tradition of providing for its community through its food pantry and wraparound economic and social services and career assistance. Founded in 1902 and still based out of its historic building in the Port neighborhood, it serves an extremely diverse clientele with many New Americans who have immigrated from the world over.


MFNH's mission is to provide integrated services to individuals and families to empower them to overcome challenges, reach their potential, and achieve their goals.


Volunteer activities have included:  

  • Unloading/restocking the food pantry 

  • Distributing food 

  • Maintenance 

  • Board participation 

  • Event assistance

  • Marketing/communications

  • Grant writing 

  • Photography
