Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House is  looking for folks to serve as interpreters/translators during their annual Turkey Drive registration in the following key languages:

• Bangla

• Cantonese (or Taishanese)

• Haitian Creole

• Spanish

Shifts are available Saturday 10/31 12pm-3pm, Wednesday 11/4 3pm-6pm, Thursday 11/5 1:30pm-4:30pm, and Friday 11/6 from 8:30am-11:30am. You don't need to be available each day/time, only one shift is OK. MFNH staff will be registering folks for the Thanksgiving food distribution and translators will help convey information between staff and registrants.

Interpreters need to be able to convey the following types of information:

• Required documents (such as ID and recent proof of address in the form of a piece of mail or utility bill)

• How many people live in a household and how many are children, adults, seniors

• Addresses and dates of birth

• Thanksgiving foods (choosing turkey, chicken or fish and explaining what other foods will be distributed such as seasonal vegetables and gravy)
