Description
Community Servings seeks volunteers to prepare, cook, and assemble meals in their state-of-the-art kitchen in Jamaica Plain. The organization provides thousands of meals each year to individuals and families across Massachusetts that are living with critical illnesses and food insecurity. Meals are designed by healthcare professionals and trained chefs to meet clients' medical and nutritional needs.
Volunteers must be 13 years or older to participate, and 18+ to handle knives. Volunteers may sign up as individuals or as organized groups of up to 30 people, for 3-hour shifts just once or weekly. Every shift will begin with a food safety orientation and training from experienced chefs.
