Become a Volunteer Chauffeur to help transport donations to Furnishing Hope!

Description: Furnishing Hope provides furniture and essential home goods to families transitioning out of homeless and domestic violence shelters. Volunteer “Chauffeurs” help by picking up donations from locations across the Greater Boston area and delivering them to the office in Harvard Square. In addition, on occasion, Chauffeurs may help transport donations from the office in Harvard Square to other storage locations. Donation sizes can vary from a single bag or box, to several moving size boxes filled with home goods.

Please Note: To be a Home Goods Drive Chauffeur, volunteers must have access to a car, and be comfortable lifting and transporting boxes and bags of home goods.

Time Commitment: Flexible - As Furnishing Hope gets requests for donations to be picked up, they will send out an email alert to Chauffeurs with the location information, timeframe, and donation size, to see who is available to do a volunteer pickup. You are welcome to do as many or as few pickups as fits with your schedule.
