The People for Riverbend Park Trust is a volunteer-run organization that maintains and preserves the greenery within Riverbend Park, the heavily trafficked greenspace spanning from Hawthorn Street near Harvard Square to Mt. Auburn Hospital. Members of the Trust often work outdoors, helping to plant, rake, weed, water, clean, and care for shrubs and flowers throughout the park and in sidewalk plots and planters, with special emphasis on a playground frequently used by hospital patient families.

Volunteer activities have included:

• Gardening (summer weeding, fall bulb-planting, etc)

• Watering (great for non-gardeners!)
