Just A Start expands equitable access to stable housing and economic opportunity in Cambridge and beyond. Through interlocking services that include housing assistance and subsidized housing management, career training, youth education, and financial coaching, Just-A-Start offers clients from teens through adults comprehensive tools to achieve personal goals.

Volunteer activities have included:

• Workplace visits and equipment demonstrations for Biomedical and IT Careers Program students

• Guest speaking or instructing in educational programs

• Mock interviews and job fair participation

• Internship or apprenticeship opportunities

• Food and supply drives for residents and students

• Resident and community events

• Volunteer tax preparation
