Y2Y welcomes volunteers from the general public -- individuals and groups -- to take a weekly morning, evening, or overnight shift and/or occasional one-time substitutions -- the latter, especially during Harvard University holidays. 

Volunteers help with preparing and distributing meals; cleaning, laundry, or other maintenance; picking up donations of food or other goods from nearby vendors; addressing guests’ needs as they arise; or other tasks as needed. 

Holiday/Winter Need: during the Harvard University winter break, community volunteers are especially needed.

Shifts are split into 3 sessions; all shifts are scheduled for the following times:

• Breakfast: 6:30 AM - 9:15 AM (7:30 AM - 10:15 AM on Saturday and Sunday)

• Dinner: 6:45 PM - 9:15 PM

• Evening: 8:45 PM - 11:15 PM

• Overnight: 11:00 PM - 9:15 AM (11:00 PM - 10:15 AM on Friday and Saturday)
