Volunteer Mentor

Enroot

Description

Enroot is looking for volunteers! Enroot is a community-based nonprofit with the mission to empower immigrant youth to achieve academic, career, and personal success through inspiring out-of-school experiences.

Volunteer mentors are matched with high school students at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School or Somerville High School. Students and mentors meet once a week at their high schools and participate in activities facilitated by Enroot staff. These are designed to build trust, support English speaking & listening skills, and foster community.

Immigrants and speakers of Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole are especially encouraged to apply! Enroot has students who speak many other languages, so if you speak a language other than those listed they likely have a student who would want to work with you.

The following schedules are available, so if any work for you - please submit an application! Contact volunteer@enrooteducation.org with any questions.
