Make a difference in the life of an older adult in Somerville or Cambridge by enabling them to live independently. Volunteers visit clients once or twice a month to organize and pay bills, balance their check books, and develop household budgets so they can live within their means.

Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year. Retirees are welcome! While interested individuals should have some availability during business hours to communicate with SCES staff, most tasks for this role can be completed on a flexible schedule at volunteers' convenience.

Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed for clients with limited English proficiency!

All volunteers must submit an application and pass a CORI background check.
