Kids' Art Contest Volunteers—Behind the Scenes

Wildlife Arts

Description

Engage in environmental education and spark local ecosystem awareness amongst Cambridge kids and families through art-making! Wildlife Arts' Cambridge City Nature Art Challenge will run for the 8th year this year.

Looking for people who can:

  • Bring their organizational and project management skills to the contest tasks

  • Organize a small team of fellow volunteers (teams include Materials, Communications, and Events)

  • Create communications materials, including a poster

  • Interact warmly with third-party artist judges and with families of children who enter the contest, and who are chosen as winners and honorable mentions

  • Organize events, such as the Mayor's Reception for winners, and exhibits of entries

  • Translate the entry form and contest fact sheet

Time commitments vary depending on the team you join. Some roles and teams begin their work in November. An organizing meeting of all volunteers, in person, will be scheduled for the second half of October.
