The Somerville Community Growing Center hosts more than 100 free public events every year for residents and visitors alike, including concerts, readings, performances, workshops, talks, yoga & meditation, children’s events and festivals. 

Interested volunteers are encouraged to explore the whole range of opportunities that the Growing Center has to offer - from getting your hands dirty volunteering in the garden to hosting Open Garden Hours to volunteering at one of our many events! 

Event volunteering tasks range from set-up team to hosting/greeting, activities help, demonstrations, tabling, checkout (for our sales), baking, and clean-up crew.
