Board Members

Maria L. Baldwin Community Center (MLBCC)

Description

The Maria L. Baldwin Community Center seeks candidates for Board membership on an ongoing basis. Candidates will be considered when vacancies occur or as Directors retire at the end of their terms. Those with expertise in law, finance, anti-racism, representatives of local businesses, and people with children in MLBCC (fka ABC) programs or with strong community ties are often sought.

Are you a parent of a student in MLBCC's afterschool, summer, or children's arts programming? Two positions are open for Parent Steering Committee members. These Directors serve to assure representation of the children's programs on the Board.

Learn more about the Board of Directors, which meets for approximately an hour one Wednesday per month, September through June, (longer and additional meetings as-needed), on MLBCC's website: https://agassiz.org/about/board/

To volunteer, candidates should send a statement that explains their interest in the Board as well as relevant experience and a resumé, if available, to psinclair@agassiz.org or Maria L. Baldwin Community Center, Attn: MLBCC Nominating Committee, 20 Sacramento Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
