VNA Hospice & Palliative Care is a non-profit provider of comprehensive at-home care and support to patients and caregivers facing the challenges of life-limiting illness and loss throughout Eastern and Central MA, including Cambridge. Hospice care may also be provided in a short-term inpatient setting, such as the VNA Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester (note that the Cambridge residence is permanently closed). Volunteers are matched and trained to work 1:1 with patients and caregivers. 

Volunteer activities have included:

• Offering companionship through shared activities

• Running errands/grocery shopping

• Offering emotional support to patients and family members

• Providing Reiki or other therapies (if certified)

• Administrative/event support
