Teatro Brasileiro de Dança, led by multidisciplinary artist and cultural educator Isaura Oliveira, uses dance education, performance, and street actions for healing and advocacy for BIPOC social justice. Isaura’s expertise is in African Brazilian Cultural Dance, and her practice is dedicated to studying and teaching the African roots of Brazilian Sacred & Popular Dances, Rhythms, Chants, and Performance-Rituals, in addition to studying modern and contemporary dance techniques.
Volunteer activities have included:
Administrative support
Graphic design, such as creating formats for invoices, receipts, etc.
Assisting with performance production, both preparation and during events
Grantwriting assistance
