The Somerville Arts Council is the local cultural council (LCC) and City Department of the City of Somerville, Massachusetts and serves to celebrate the arts and community. The mission of the Somerville Arts Council is to cultivate and celebrate the creative expressions of the Somerville community. Through innovative collaborations and quality programming, the Somerville Arts Council works to make the arts an integral part of life reflective of our diverse city.

The Somerville Arts Council welcomes and relies on volunteers for events such as PorchFest, ArtBeat, and Fluff Fest. Volunteers assist with day-of setup, lead activities, staff information tables, observe visitors, and provide directions.
