Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Massachusetts

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Massachusetts

About

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine works to eliminate wasted food and “feed people, not landfills” by connecting businesses that have excess food with nonprofits serving food-insecure people. In the process, Rescuing Leftover Cuisine also works to reduce the impacts of climate change. Volunteers support this process by picking up excess food from food donors — typically, retailers, restaurants, and other institutions — and bringing it to delivery locations.

Volunteer activities have included:

  • Leading/organizing food rescue events (sporadic or recurring)

  • Short trips picking up and delivering food via foot, bike, bus, or car
