People Making a Difference (PMD) is a Boston-based volunteer connector that promotes informed and responsible volunteerism by engaging individuals in meaningful, hands-on, group work that helps community-based charity partners, nearly all of which lack volunteer programs and yet need periodic, organized volunteer assistance.

Volunteer activities have included:

• Diverse, one-time, hands-on projects (plus virtually officiating for science bowls) such as preparing and sharing meals with lonely elders; assembling print-Braille children’s STEM books to provide equitable access to literacy materials to people with vision impairments; clearing trails for access and safety in urban greenspaces; and packing essential supplies for homeless street outreach

• Board membership
