About
Camp Sunshine is a year-round program that works with families with children battling life-threatening illnesses. It's a community where families find hope, connection, and belonging. Families from all over the world are welcomed at no cost to them. Through engaging activities and meaningful conversations, Camp Sunshine fosters lifelong friendships and creates lasting, transformative memories.
Each session a new group of volunteers step into the role of camp counselor. Camp Sunshine welcomes volunteers 16+ of all abilities and interests. From being in the camper groups, to playing on the lake, cooking in the kitchen, ice skating in the winter, leading arts and crafts, and more.
Weekend or week-long volunteer commitments come with full days. Volunteers receive three meals a day, laundry services, and shared housing accommodations on Camp Sunshine's beautiful 25-acre campus on Sebago Lake.
Camp Sunshine relies on volunteers who share a passion with their mission. Whether you're looking to serve in a group, in the arts and crafts room, in the kitchen, or as the photographer, there's a place for everyone at camp.
