About the Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association
The Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association (CNA) is a non-profit organization that strengthens the Cambridgeport community through advocacy and care for the neighborhood. CNA strives to create cohesion, joy, and empowerment for everyone who lives, works, or learns in Cambridgeport.
The CNA is an all-volunteer, non-partisan group that brings neighbors together through events like Cambridge Porchfest -- their annual music festival featuring local artists. The CNA facilitates advocacy through community meetings and an email listserv for neighborhood conversations, empowering residents to shape local decisions. They also run seasonal textile and book drives, spring clean-ups, plant swaps, block parties, winter socials, and other meet-your-neighbor events.
How You Can Help
The CNA is building a volunteer network to increase their capacity to serve the neighborhood. There are many ways to contribute based on your interests and skills:
Day-of event support: Help set up, staff, and clean up at neighborhood gatherings and cleanups
Communications: Manage social media, create graphics, hang flyers, or help maintain the website
Planning and coordination: Organize events, coordinate other volunteers, or lead a new committee initiative
Professional skills: Accounting, graphic design, event planning, or share your professional expertise
Resource sharing: Provide access to printers for community flyers and materials
Whether you have an hour to hang flyers or want to lead a new initiative, the CNA would love to have you involved in making Cambridgeport a better place for everyone.
