Cambridge City Growers is a group of volunteers working to start up gardens in Cambridge and beyond, wherever they can find space to do so, to increase access to healthy, organic, and locally grown food. The Growers strive to grow and share as much food as possible, especially with community members in need.

Volunteer activities have included:

• Finding available land -- even porches to grow a few pots of tomatoes!

• Helping maintain the gardens: planting, watering, weeding

• Posting on social media, maintaining the website

• Reaching out to community groups

• Maintaining a community fridge

• Supporting new gardeners with gardening advice/expertise

• Keeping track of members, locations, and resources
