About

Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) aims to provide affordable education to all members of the community through hundreds of classes, ranging from languages and business to cooking to visual and performing arts. CCAE is committed to experiential, hands-on lifelong learning that is distinguished by students and faculty of different racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, religious, and economic backgrounds. They also host, at no cost to the organizers, many free classes and special events, including Cambridge Volunteers’ workshops and discussions. CCAE Volunteers are offered free or discounted classes in exchange for their service.


Volunteer activities have included:

  • Assisting with classes or events (live or remote)

  • Assisting with art classes using live models

  • Welcoming and directing clients on-site

  • Teaching a class or workshop
