Carnaval highlights the heart of the East Somerville Business District, bringing together neighbors, local businesses, and visitors through live music, food, and family-friendly activities inspired by cultures from around the world. The Somerville Arts Council (SAC) is looking for volunteers for the following activities and times:

The weekend of May 30-31st:

• Postering: The week/weekend before the event, place posters about the event throughout the city! Pick up materials at the SAC office and hang posters on your own time and pace at businesses and community boards in a neighborhood of your choice: Gilman, Union, and Davis Square

• Residential flyering: The week/weekend before the event, place notices about road closures and parking restrictions in people’s mailboxes around East Somerville. Pick up materials at the SAC office and distribute notices on your own time and pace.

Saturday June 7th (rain date June 14th), Broadway from McGrath Hwy to Pennsylvania Ave:

• Info Table, 2-4PM: Staff the SAC info table and lead a craft activity

• 4-6PM: Staff the SAC info table and lead a craft activity
