Seedling Sales at Waltham Fields 2025

Waltham Fields Community Farm

Description

In their greenhouses WFCF grow organic seedlings of vegetables, herbs, and flowers for home gardeners and container gardening, then sell them on two weekends in May. This very vibrant and busy sale is quite popular, and they need volunteers to help! Volunteers should be comfortable interfacing with the public, and with being outside most of the time, even in bad weather - dress appropriately. (thunderstorms will postpone and reschedule the event)

Seedling sales take place on site at 240 Beaver Street Waltham on the following days. Volunteer shifts are varied and may be the whole time or part:

  • Saturday, May 10, 2025 9am - 3p

  • Saturday, May 17 9am - 1pm or until stock runs out

There are many shifts available, from helping tally purchases while customers wait in line, to working with farmers to keep tables stocked with seedlings from the greenhouse, to helping with parking, as some examples. The registration for these volunteer shifts will open soon. To receive an email with more info when it opens, contact volunteer@communityfarms.org.
