Description
The primary responsibility of the Mentorship Program Director is to oversee the successful implementation and continued operation of the Mentorship Program. This can include recruiting potential mentors and mentees, matching them to build a great relationship, and being a point of contact between them and ASPIRE. She will supervise a team of at least two coordinators that specializes in planning events and monitoring the pairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a Mentorship Program timeline
- Ensure that matches are periodically checked and have feedback/evaluations gathered
- Improve matching process by collecting feedback and implementing potential leads
- Plan community building workshops & sessions
- Attend monthly board meetings to communicate progress of the Mentorship Program
- Determine support roles for a Mentorship Team (including the Program Coordinator and Volunteer Recruiter) and supervise delegation of tasks, collection of feedback, and facilitate meetings to discuss plans for the Mentorship program
- Work closely with the Events Coordinator and provide support for events when needed
- Work closely with the Volunteer Recruiter to assess status of matches
Key Deliverables
- Suggest improvement for future Mentorship Program cycles
- Review evaluation and feedback from matches
- Present a showcase Mentorship Program event that involves other ASPIRE teams (e.g. YLP and AITC), which also serves as a fundraising opportunity for grant sponsorship
Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per month
Length of Commitment: 2 years, at least
