Description
Friday drop-ins will start mid-late April, Saturday drop-ins will start mid-late May -- check back here or WFCF's social media for exact dates.
Help grow organic vegetables to be distributed to all WFCF's food access programs by working in the farm fields!
The work varies according to what the farmer needs to get done for that day, but is likely to include weeding, transplanting, or special projects. No experience necessary, just the ability to bend and kneel.
Arrive promptly by 9am to go out in the farm fields together and learn the morning's task. This shift is from 9am - noon. You need to arrive by 9am, but you do not need to stay until noon; you are free to leave whenever you like (but arriving late is not an available option unless you have discussed it with someone on the farm staff first or emailed us to ask).
Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes that you do not mind getting dirty - because getting dirty/dusty/muddy and/or sweaty is almost guaranteed! Bring a refillable water bottle, and feel free to bring your own garden gloves if you like to use them; there will be some gloves available as well for those who want them.
