School Outreach Volunteers

Cambridge Department of Recycling

Cambridge Department of Recycling

Cambridge Department of Recycling seeks volunteers to assist with their school outreach efforts throughout the year. Volunteers help Cambridge Public School students sort their lunch waste into compost, recycle, or trash. While thanking students for their efforts, volunteers offer education on proper separation, as well as guidance to fix mistakes.

Lunch shifts are typically two hours from approximately 11am to 1pm on school days, and volunteers are asked to commit to at least two shifts when signing up. No experience is necessary; training will be provided. All volunteers must pass a CORI background check.
