Residential Counselor

Wellmet Project

Wellmet Project

Wellmet Project relies on volunteers to support their clients as live-in Residential Counselors. Residential Counselors work two nights per week to ensure the well-being of program participants, facilitating social activities, checking in with residents, and remaining on-call through the night in case of emergency. Counselors are also expected to attend weekly staff/house meetings, help residents with their individual goals, and occasionally perform chores such as cooking meals. Though the position is unpaid, rent and food are paid for. A commitment of at least one year is required, and candidates must have a bachelor's degree as well as strong interpersonal skills.

For more information, please contact Missy, Office Assistant and Residence Director, at (860) 215-6071 or oa@wellmetproject.org.
