Reading Mentors

Read to a Child

Read to a Child

Volunteers read weekly to a child at a local Cambridge school during their lunch hour (25 minutes). This activity is part of Read to a Child's Read Aloud Mentoring Program which works to improve the literacy skills and socio-emotional well-being of students.

Volunteers may serve in person at either Morse Elementary School in the Cambridgeport neighborhood, or King Open School in the Wellington-Harrington neighborhood.
