Produce Packer

When not gleaning in the field, volunteers can help organize and pack produce donations, which are then delivered to individuals in need. These opportunities typically pop up at least once a week during the harvest season (late June through mid-November). This is a good opportunity for folks looking for a physically low-impact activity. Keep an eye on the volunteer opportunity list on Boston Areas Gleaners' website for these occurences.
