Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD)

Adult volunteers are matched with a child or young adult (age 6+) in Greater Boston for community-based meetings, outings, or adventures. Spend your time together working on a project, discovering new places, visiting a museum, discussing personal issues, or whatever feels right as you build a relationship of trust and care. This one-on-one program requires a one-year commitment for 4-6 hours per month, plus weekly contact by phone or email. Volunteers must be over 18. All are welcome to apply. Typically there is higher demand for BIPOC mentors who identify as male and/or speak Spanish, but all adults are very welcome to apply to meet the diverse needs of PYD clients. Contact info@pyd.org or (617) 556-4075 to learn more.
