Literacy Tutors

Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts (LVM) seeks tutors to provide individualized literacy instruction to non-native English speakers, with a focus on creating a patient, flexible, and encouraging environment for students to learn. 

Volunteers will be asked to complete a 2-hour orientation and an 18-hour training program before being matched with a student. Volunteers must commit to spending two hours a week with their student for 9-12 months. Volunteers must be over 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
