Intergenerational Math & Literacy Program Volunteers

Cambridge School Volunteers

Cambridge School Volunteers

Intergenerational Math & Literacy Program volunteers meet with elementary school students once a week under the supervision of a teacher, either in very small groups or one-on-one, to develop and improve students' basic math and literacy skills.

No prior tutoring or teaching experience is required. CSV provides orientation and training, and volunteers are invited to attend an additional best practices training once per semester.

CSV manages over a dozen distinct programs for many hundreds of students in every Cambridge public school at every grade level. Please complete CSV's online volunteer application when you inquire, so that their staff can answer your questions regarding where they may have an opening for you at any given time. A CORI check and a short individual placement meeting are required.
