Hospice Volunteers

Brighton Hospice

Brighton Hospice

Brighton Hospice seeks volunteers to provide assistance to hospice patients, families, and facility staff. Some examples of volunteer activities include visiting patients where they live (at home, an assisted living community, or a skilled nursing facility), assisting with letter writing or other projects, reading to patients or joining them to watch television, and playing games with patients or their families.

Volunteers are welcome to select tasks that they feel comfortable performing, and will not be asked to provide direct care to patients. No medical experience is necessary, and volunteer training is provided.

Volunteers are encouraged to make a one-year commitment; however, monthly hours are determined by the availability of the volunteer and scheduling can be flexible, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Volunteers with more limited availability may help with annual events or other special projects.
