Friendly Visitor Volunteers

Friendly Visitor volunteers visit with isolated older adults who are living either in their homes or long-term care facilities. Through one-on-one weekly visits, volunteers offer companionship, help alleviate loneliness, promote aging with dignity, and for many offer a treasured connection to Judaism. Russian speaking volunteers are highly desireable. Volunteers will need to provide two references and may be asked to complete training. Several positions require volunteers to have weekday availability and to commit to the program for at least six months. All volunteers are required to pass a CORI check.
