Friendly Visitor

Friendly Visitors are matched one-on-one with an older adult in Boston, Brookline, Newton, Cambridge, or Somerville with a goal of a genuine, close relationship that develops organically over time. Volunteers meet with their matches weekly to go on walks, run errands, drink tea, or any other activities they'd like to do. Volunteers must commit 1-2 hours a week for 9-12 months to participate in the program, and visits will be scheduled based on both parties' availability. Note that some towns have waitlists.
