Cambridge School Volunteers

FMA Pacesetters volunteers bring their own special interests and talents, whether in STEM, art, sports, games, or other fields — or just a hefty dose of understanding of the developmental and social needs of children — to a group of grade 2–5 boys after school at Fletcher-Maynard Academy.

No prior tutoring or teaching experience is required. CSV provides orientation and training, and volunteers are invited to attend an additional best practices training once per semester.

CSV manages over a dozen distinct programs for many hundreds of students in every Cambridge public school at every grade level. Please complete CSV's online volunteer application when you inquire, so that their staff can answer your questions regarding where they may have an opening for you at any given time. A CORI check and a short individual placement meeting are required.
