Cambridge School Volunteers
Elementary Math Program Volunteers conduct and coach sessions for 4th-grade classrooms using Scratch -- a visual programming tool -- several mornings a week 9:00–9:30. After-school Math Circle enrichment program volunteers are also needed.
No prior tutoring or teaching experience is required. CSV provides orientation and training, and volunteers are invited to attend an additional best practices training once per semester.
CSV manages over a dozen distinct programs for many hundreds of students in every Cambridge public school at every grade level. Please complete CSV's online volunteer application when you inquire, so that their staff can answer your questions regarding where they may have an opening for you at any given time. A CORI check and a short individual placement meeting are required.
