Digital Literacy Support

Community Servings seeks volunteers to support trainees in their Teaching Kitchen job-training program as they work to gain digital literacy skills. Volunteers may assist trainees with tasks related to searching for jobs online, such as navigating job postings, submitting job applications, creating email accounts, and setting up profiles on sites like Indeed.com. Classes are informal, with students directing their own learning and facilitators providing individualized guidance as needed to bolster trainees' confidence and abilities.

Volunteers are asked to commit to facilitating at least one 6-week digital literacy training course, with set hours on Thursdays from 1 to 4pm.
