Clothing Sorters

Solutions at Work

Solutions at Work

Solutions at Work seeks volunteers to sort clothing donations, checking items for suitability and absence of tearing or stains, then distributing clothing to racks by size. Volunteers also record the number of program participants served during their shifts.

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least two hours per week, and may choose to help out for up to 18 hours per week. Work takes place at 1151 Mass Ave. in Cambridge. Many of Solutions at Work's program participants are homeless or very low income; volunteers are expected to be respectful and supportive.

Volunteers have found this direct service to participants very rewarding as it meets a critical need.
