Cambridge School Volunteers
Classroom and Library Assistant volunteers assist once a week in a classroom or library during the school day. Volunteers help students to stay on task, facilitate discussions, and/or provide academic support for K-12th grade students during the school year.
No prior tutoring or teaching experience is required. CSV provides orientation and training, and volunteers are invited to attend an additional best practices training once per semester.
CSV manages over a dozen distinct programs for many hundreds of students in every Cambridge public school at every grade level. Please complete CSV's online volunteer application when you inquire, so that their staff can answer your questions regarding where they may have an opening for you at any given time. A CORI check and a short individual placement meeting are required.
