City of Cambridge Boards & Commissions

The City of Cambridge relies on the interest and involvement of residents and encourages engagement in the civic decision-making process, offering dozens of commissions and boards focused on various aspects of life in Cambridge. Participants take an active role in the functioning of the local government and have a direct impact on the city they live in.

The City of Cambridge is committed to advancing a culture of antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Board and commission members should have the ability to collaborate with individuals with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds and ideologies. Requirements vary, but most positions will require a multi-year commitment wherein members attend regular meetings in person. Some positions may offer remote meeting options as well.
