Found in Translation

Found in Translation seeks volunteer Mentors to facilitate a professional skills class for low-income bilingual women, providing 1:1 support covering a variety of career-related topics and professional skills such as interviewing, negotiation, and job searching, as well as deliverables like resumes and cover letters. Found in Translation staff work closely with volunteers to carry out the program’s mentoring component, giving students an opportunity to bolster their professional skills and build their networking communities. 


Mentors meet with a class of low-income bilingual women for an hour and a half each Wednesday, during which time they answer questions, coach students, and provide real-life case scenarios and different perspectives to help students navigate the professional world upon graduating from the program. 


While this position may not be year-round, volunteers are welcome to inquire or apply at any time. A CORI background check is required.
