Sustainable Food and Culture

Cambridge Carnival is a colorful annual festival rooted in Caribbean and African traditions that stretch back as far as the 1600s. Today, the festival is the largest in Cambridge, and celebrates the African diaspora with activities including steel pan performances, arts and crafts vendors, food, and music, culminating in a grand costume parade.

The 29th Cambridge Carnival will take place on September 10, 2023, from 11am to 5pm at University Park in Cambridge. Volunteers assist with many aspects leading up to, during, and after the event, including promotion, setup, vendor and entertainment coordination, crowd support, and breakdown/cleanup.
