Big Brother/Sister (Adult/Child)

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS)

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS)

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston (JBBBS) aims to transform lives through one-to-one relationships. JBBBS' comprehensive mentoring program pairs children aged 6-18 with a "Big" who provides role-modeling, encouragement, and friendship. Bigs build genuine relationships with their "Littles" through bi-monthly hangouts and, in the process, make their Littles feel supported and cared for. JBBBS serves people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities, and works to make meaningful matches for Bigs and Littles alike.

Volunteers are needed to support children and teens in several JBBBS initiatives, including:

  • Community Program

  • LGBTQ+ Youth Program

  • College Mentoring Program

  • Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Youth Program

To apply, Bigs must be 21+ and make a commitment to meet with their Little twice a month for at least a year. All Bigs must submit an application and complete an interview to get matched with a Little on the waiting list. While JBBBS offers programs guided by Jewish principles, Bigs and Littles of all faiths and backgrounds (including those without religious affiliation) are welcome.

For more information, please contact info@jbbbs.org or 857-337-8480 (leave a message); apply at https://www.jbbbs.org/volunteer/.
