What We Do
Since 1994, Cambridge Volunteers has helped potential volunteers find short- and long-term opportunities by supporting and streamlining their search. We offer free workshops, regularly updated postings, and one-on-one advice.
We serve Cambridge nonprofit agencies by getting out the word about upcoming volunteer needs and recruiting volunteers. Our Volunteer Managers Advisory Council helps us closely align our work with agency priorities and provides networking space for colleagues-in-volunteering.
We serve volunteers and agencies together through our workshops that increase volunteer effectiveness and awareness of diversity and cultural issues and that introduce new board members to the role. We also co-convene, with Cambridge Nonprofit Coalition, an annual event called Cambridge Serves, to address a salient, citywide issue in volunteer service with all parties at the table.
