Somali Parents Advocacy Center for Education (SPACE)

The Somali Parents Advocacy Center for Education (SPACE) is building a movement for Somali parents of children with intellectual disabilities or autism to better understand their children's conditions, accept potential therapies, and end shaming and internal discrimination. Through family support, school services, tech awareness, and health services, SPACE works toward a future where children with these disabilities have the resources and support needed to become full members of their community and live fulfilling lives.

Volunteer activities have included:

• Advising the organization on legal and financial matters

• Social media management

• Fundraising

• Event support/management
