Mt. Auburn Hospital
As the first hospital established in Cambridge in 1886, Mt. Auburn is “dedicated to delivering healthcare services in a personable, convenient, and compassionate manner, with respect for the dignity of patients and their families.” Part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Mt. Auburn is also a research and teaching hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School and social service providers.
Volunteer activities have included:
General patient/hospital support
Direct patient care (pre-med or medical students only)
Hospice care (following specialized training)
