
Jewish Family Service of Metrowest (JFS)
Jewish Family Service of Metrowest (JFS) provides vital social, health, and community services to alleviate suffering, enhance lives, and support people in need. They serve more than 7,500 clients annually, from school children to seniors. Programs include extended day academic support for low income children, nutrition and basic family assistance for struggling families, citizenship and immigrant programs, and geriatric care management and other supports that enable older adults to live independently.
Bilingual/multilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply as certain activities may require translation services. Language preferences: Spanish/Portugese/Chinese/Ukrainian
Volunteer activities have included:
Helping older adults prepare for upcoming medical appointments
Helping individuals prepare for their citizenship exam
Sorting and packing clothing packages to distribute to families
